This collection contains letters of the Holdridge and Eddy families, of the central New York towns Garrattsville and Unadilla, Otsego County, as well as Norwich, Chenango County, and others. The letters discuss family life, illnesses, visits and visitors, and business, particularly that of Nelson Holdridge, a watch maker. The primary recipient of these letters was Minnie (Eddy) Holdridge, who received letters from her mother, siblings, husband Nelson, other relatives, and friends. Another major recipient was B.F. (Benjamin Franklin) Holdredge, along with Nelson Holdridge, and Elizabeth Jones. The collection also includes greeting cards, photographs, and ephemera. Note that B.F. Holdredge appeared to spell his name with an 'e,' while the rest of the Holdridges evidently spelled it with an 'i.'
